　　第三篇：人口增长

　　It has been estimated that a thousand years ago there were less than 400 million people on earth. Today, however, the world's population has amounted to 5,000 million. What is worse, it keeps growing at a surprising speed. If this trend continues, the world's population will shoot up to 7,000 million by the year 2000. This is what we call population explosion.

　　The rapid development of science and technology is the main cause of population explosion. We can see that the population has been growing at a tremendous speed since the Industrial and Agriculture Revolution in 1650, which raised the people's standard of living, and the emergence of modern medicine in 1550, which lowered the people's death rate.

　　Population explosion will result in a lot of such problems as food shortage, housing shortage and unemployment. It is time that we acted quickly to carry out the policy of birth control otherwise, man's survival on the earth will be threatened.

　　据估计,一千年前,地球上有不到4亿人。然而,今天,世界人口已达50亿。更糟糕的是,它一直以惊人的速度增长。如果这一趋势继续下去,世界人口将激增至70亿到2000年。这就是我们所说的人口爆炸。

　　科技的迅速发展,人口爆炸的主要原因。我们可以看到人口以惊人的速度增长自1650年工业和农业革命,这提高了人民的生活水平,1550年现代医学的出现,降低了人们的死亡率。

　　人口爆炸会导致食物短缺等问题,住房短缺和失业问题。是时候,我们迅速行动实施计划生育的政策,否则,地球上人类的生存将受到威胁。

　　第四篇：人口增长

　　Currently, there is a widespread concern about the previously neglected connection between growing human population and decreasing wild species. As the two graphs obviously portrayed, American population in 1980 was 250 times than that in 1800, a trend accompanied by the extinction of nearly 70 kinds of wildlife in the past 300 years. A clear correlation is suggested that mankind has exerted a tremendously negative influence on natural species.

　　There are many factors responsible for the aforementioned tendency. First and foremost, to satisfy the space demand for the booming population, the only available solution for Americans is to take occupation of forests and grassland. that used to be habitat of wild animals and plants. Furthermore, the process of industrialization and urbanization has generated severe pollution that essentially destroys environment and ecosystem.

　　In my point of view, the dearth of wildlife today forecasts an unpromising future for humans tomorrow. In order to eliminate species extinction, relevant laws and regulations must be established and enforced to maintain a large portion of unspoiled areas. Effective measures should also be applied to ensure that the impact of pollution be removed.

　　目前,人们普遍担心以前被忽视的联系日益增长的人口和减少野生物种。显然两个图形描述,美国人口在1980年比250倍,在1800年,这一趋势伴随着近70种野生动物的灭绝在过去的300年。一个明确的相关性表明,人类对自然物种产生了极大的负面影响。

　　有许多因素负责上述趋势。首先,满足空间的需求迅猛增长的人口,唯一可用的解决方案对于美国人是职业的森林和草原。这曾经是野生动植物的栖息地。此外,工业化和城市化的过程本质上产生了严重的污染,破坏环境和生态系统。

　　在我的观点中,缺乏野生动物今天预测一个没有希望的未来人类的明天。为了消除物种灭绝,相关法律法规必须建立和实施维护大部分未遭破坏的地区。有效的措施也应该应用于确保污染的影响被删除。
