《YOUTH》

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter ofrosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder,the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wirelessstation: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

青春不是年华，而是心境；青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝，而是深沉的意志，恢宏的想象，炙热的恋情；青春是生命的深泉在涌流。青春气贯长虹，勇锐盖过怯弱，进取压倒苟安。如此锐气，二十后生而有之，六旬男子则更多见。年岁有加，并非垂老，理想丢弃，方堕暮年。岁月悠悠，衰微只及肌肤；热忱抛却，颓废必致灵魂。忧烦，惶恐，丧失自信，定使心灵扭曲，意气如灰。无论年届花甲，拟或二八芳龄，心中皆有生命之欢乐，奇迹之诱惑，孩童般天真久盛不衰。人人心中皆有一台天线，只要你从天上人间接受美好、希望、欢乐、勇气和力量的信号，你就青春永驻，风华常存。一旦天线下降，锐气便被冰雪覆盖，玩世不恭、自暴自弃油然而生，即使年方二十，实已垂垂老矣；然则只要树起天线，捕捉乐观信号，你就有望在八十高龄告别尘寰时仍觉年轻。

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
Write,for example,'the night is starry and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance'.
The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her,and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me,sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her.
To feel that I have lost her.
To hear the immense night,still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her,
the night is starry and she is not with me.
This is all.
In the distance someone is singing.In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her,and she is not with me.
The same night whitening the same trees.
We,of that time,are no longer the same.
I no longer love her,that's certain,but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.
Another's.She will be another's.As she was before my kisses.
Her voice,her bright body.Her infinite eyes.
I no longer love her,that's certain,but maybe I love her.
Love is so short,forgetting is so long.
Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

今夜我可以写下最哀伤的诗句。
写，譬如，“夜镶满群星，
而星星遥远地发出蓝光并且颤抖“。
夜风在天空中回旋并低唱。
今夜我可以写下最哀伤的诗句。
我爱她，而且有时她也爱我。
如同今晚的夜，我曾拥她入怀，
在无尽的天空下一遍又一遍地吻她。
她爱我，有时我也爱她。
怎会不爱上她那沉静的双眼?
今夜我可以写下最哀伤的诗句。
去想我并不拥用她，感觉我已失去她。
去聆听广阔的夜，因没有她而更加广阔。
诗句坠入我的灵魂，如同露水落在牧草上。
我的爱若不能拥有她又会怎样？
群星满夜
而她不在我身边。
这就是一切了。
远处有人在唱着歌。
那么远。
我的空虚因为没有她。
我的目光搜寻她，想要把她拉近；
