Abstract

  The Chinese nation has deep historical traditions of the great patriotism in the history ofthe development of its thousands of years, not only the formed the unique nationalcharacteristics of patriotism, but also created a distinctive patriotism in educationalpractice. Patriotic education is the eternal theme of the ideological and politicaleducation. Since New China set up, especially with the deeply development of reform andopening up, the party and government attach great importance to the patriotic education,issued a series of policy measures to continuously strengthen civic education in patriotism, soto regulate the development of China's patriotic education.In order to adapt to changing timesand practical needs, patriotic education has also been strengthened in the improvement,innovation and development, has made great achievements and accumulated valuableexperiences. Conscientiously sum up the experience under the new historical conditions andcreates a new situation of patriotic education, and promotes the development of new patrioticeducation has a very important significance. This paper reviews the development process ofthe reform and opening patriotic education, summarized the main experience, designed toprovide a reference for the future to carry out patriotic education better.

  This thesis is divided into five chapters, including Introduction and four contents. Thefirst chapter of the patriotic education explained related concepts .On this basis, to furthertap the ideological content of patriotism, patriotism is not only a deep feeling and motionfor the motherland and the spiritual pillar of the nation, but also the basic ethics and socialresponsibility. In modern times, the content of China's patriotic education includingnational concept of education, national education, national interests and security concept ofeducation, civic responsibility education, socialist democracy and legal education, thesocialist core values education.

  The second chapter is a review of the history of education in patriotism since the reformand opening up. On the basis of the author and reference literature review on the stage todivide the ideological and political education as the basis for party's understanding of patrioticeducation as a clue, the patriotic education since the reform and opening divided intothree periods: the patriotic education recovery period of development, established theideological line of emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, and created a newsituation in the new era of patriotic education; regulate the development period of patrioticeducation, deepening the party's understanding of the importance of education in patriotism,expanding the patriotic education channels, patriotic education from theory topractice; patriotic education innovation and development period, the times to promotepatriotic education, comprehensively strengthen patriotic education practices. Byreviewing the practice of patriotic education of each period, depicting the characteristics ofthe times in different periods.

  The third chapter is the main achievements about patriotic education of China's reformand opening up. On the basis of the historical review, we believe that the main principles ofour patriotic education followed that with a stick to guide the party's innovative theory ofpatriotic education, patriotism and socialist unity persist, persist in reform and opening uppatriotism and unity, insisted “close to reality, life, and the masses ”principle. Our patrioticeducation achievements, mainly for the people increasingly profound understanding ofpatriotism, the masses increasingly rational expression of patriotism, patriotic masses morerational consciousness, patriotism has become the country's people to build themotherland spiritual strength.The fourth chapter is the main inspiration and practical experience of patriotic education.

  History patriotic education through the development process and the main achievements,the paper argues that since the reform and opening up of China's main experience of patrioticeducation in the following areas, one national identity, education is the core of patrioticeducation, secondly, through the whole national patriotism process of education, thirdly ,thebase of education is an important platform for patriotic education, fourthly, patriotic educationis always the main theme of patriotic education of ideological and political education. Theseexperience of patriotic education provide some valuable insights for our futureinnovation, our patriotic education must adhere to the direction of development ofsocialism with Chinese characteristics adhere to lead the socialist core values of patrioticeducation, strengthen patriotic education targeted and effectiveness.
