　　北宋时，有一个很聪明的小孩，他就是司马光。这个小孩，生来聪慧，喜欢动脑筋，与同龄的孩子相比，显得与众不同。

　　有一天，司马光和小朋友在花园里玩，花园里有花有树还有假山，大家你追我赶，玩的很高兴。一个调皮的小男孩爬到了假山上去玩，突然，一不小心掉进了假山边上的大水缸。

　　水缸里满满的都是水，小男孩被吓到了，在水里挣扎着，大声喊：“救命啊，救命啊，快救救我啊……”这时，小朋友们才发现，有人掉缸里了。大家惊慌失措，一时都不知道该怎么办，有的胆小的孩子，都吓得哭起来了。

　　这时，司马光说：“大家不要害怕，我们赶紧想办法，把他救上来。”大家面面相觑，甚是慌张。聪明的司马光正在努力的思考着，“我们都比水缸矮，又不能把他捞上来，要是能把水缸里的水倒出来就好了，可是，我们怎么才能把水倒出来呢?”小小的孩子不慌不忙，苦苦思索着。

　　当他看到假山边上一块块的石头时，突然灵光一闪。他高兴的想到，“我可以用石头把水缸砸破啊”，随即他又想到，“万一砸到小伙伴怎么办呢?”。于是他跑过去捡了一块不大不小的石头，对大家喊道：“大家不要着急，我有办法了。”他举起石头朝水缸砸去，水缸破了个窟窿，水哗哗的流了出来，小男孩终于被救出来了。大家高兴的手舞足蹈，直夸司马光聪明机智。

　　Sima Guang was a Prime Minister and outstanding historian of the Northern Song Dynasty.
