命题作文是依据所给题目，确定中心，选择材料，写出符合题意，内容表达具体、充分的文章。写命题作文通常要注意以下几点：
一、审准题目：
文章的中心要对题目的分析来确定，一定要弄清主题的内涵，确立与文章联系的主题思想，表达不能游离于主题，否则即使内容再精彩，也是跑题作文，得分将会大打折扣，因此，写命题作文最重要的`是先审清题目，确立要表现的中心。
二、构思结构：
就是开放思路，启动联想，构想表现形式，勾勒出文章的结构层次，依次写出引言段，主题句，发展段和结尾句，努力使之新颖，别致。
三、选择材料：
这一点很重要，一定要围绕想表现的中心去选择组织材料，所选的材料必须典型精要。
四、表达：
就是用最确切明了的语言贯穿材料，表达自己的思想，力争用符合英语语法规则。英语表达习惯，最顺畅自然的词，句，段去表达中心思想，与表现中心无关的话即使再生动形象也不要去写。就写作的目的表现形式来看，命题作文分为三种形式：
1、记叙文类；
2、说明文类；
3、议论文类。

BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The worst quake-hit areas in southwest China will see rainfall cease and can expect a cloudy sky in the next two days starting from Wednesday night, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast.
But there could be more rain in Wenchuan, Dujiangyan and Beichuan on Saturday and Monday, which would hamper the rescue efforts.
The southern part of Sichuan Province will get more rain, or even heavy rain and thunderstorms in some areas, in the next three days, the agency said.
It also warned that previous rainfall, coupled with the devastating quake, would raise the danger of further landslides, collapses, or mud-rock flows.
Landslides along with other damages caused by the quake had cut roads leading to the worst-hit areas, blocking rescue efforts as well.
Thunderstorms and heavy rain also forced the military forces to call off a planned parachute troops and supplies into Wenchuan on Tuesday.
The 7.8-magnitude quake that rocked southwest China had already claimed more than 14,000 lives and the death toll is still expected to rise.

Everything in the ram seemed fresh and glittering. Outside, it was cold and windy, and we could feel the gale buffeting against the side of the tram, making it sway and lurch ore than usual, and throwing the passengers of song, and the fresh, clean, cold sea-wind was blowing right through the upper deck. Above, a high half-moon seemed to be skidding along on its back through piles of black, white-lined rags. It was a wild night, with a sense of magic in the offing. The people in the tram did not like ordinary mortals; a kind of exhilaratinggaietyhadseizedthem,anditseseememed to lighten their bodies and illuminate their faces. At times I was sure we were really flying.

Is it better to be self-reliant or, instead, to rely on those around us? In my opinion, while self-reliance is an essential quality that everyone should strive to develop, it is also crucial that we know how to enlist and accept the support of others.
In addition to fostering greater efficiency in our daily lives, self-dependence can also help to make life more meaningful. As an illustration, self-reliant individuals might teach themselves how to play the guitar, bake an apple pie, or grow a flower garden. Nevertheless, it would be difficult to survive without the assistance of others. To demonstrate, a doctor might have to call a plumber to fix a leaking faucet; an engineer may need to ask an accountant to fill out his tax returns; and a lawyer with a sore tooth will have no choice but to consult a dentist.
In the final analysis, neither complete self-dependence nor excessive reliance on others is advisable or even feasible. Insofar as self-reliance can boost our efficiency and add meaning to our lives, I believe that it is a desirable trait to possess.
